Tamiya TS‑40 is a high-gloss metallic black synthetic lacquer formulated for large-model plastic surfaces like car bodies and aircraft shells.

It features ultra-fine silver metal flecks that create a deep, shimmering black finish. Quick-curing and tough once dry, this spray paint is compatible with both acrylic and enamel overcoating. 

Not for use on polycarbonate (Lexan) bodies—use Tamiya’s PS series for those surfaces.
