Born from the Joint Strike Fighter program, the F-35B boasts a unique combination of capabilities: conventional takeoff and landing, short takeoff and vertical landing, and stealth technology. This multi-role marvel serves as the successor to the AV-8B Harrier II, and its innovative 3-bearing engine duct nozzle and lift fan enable both supersonic speeds and vertical landings.

Following the F-35A's deployment, the F-35B took flight in 2015. The US Marine Corps' VMFA-211 "Wake Island Avengers" wrote history in September 2018 by deploying the first F-35B in combat in Afghanistan. Beyond the US and UK, Italy has already embraced the F-35B, and the Japan Air Self-Defence Force is preparing its own F-35B squadron for launch in 2024.
