Ouch! – Cactus Flower Collecting Card Game

Explore the desert and collect the most colourful cactus flowers — but watch out for the sharp spikes! In Ouch!, players take turns choosing from six face-down cactus cards and flipping them to reveal flowers or spikes. The more flowers on the back, the greater the reward — but also the greater the risk!

If you reveal a spike, you’re pricked and the card goes back in the box. If you’re safe, keep the card. Desert animals hidden among the cards add special effects — vipers pass your prick penalty to the next player, while the fennec fox lets you take a bonus turn (at your own risk!). Red flowers are worth bonus points at the end, but getting pricked on a red flower card costs you an extra card from your reserve.

The game ends when a player collects 8 cards or the deck runs out. Score 1 point per flower, +5 for the most red flowers, and +4 for each set of 4 different coloured flowers. Most points wins!
