The first-generation Celica A20 series debuted in December 1970 with the marketing tagline “From a country in the future”! The full choice system sales strategy in which you could choose the engine, transmission, interior, and more resulted in a lot of attention from the public. Becoming a hot seller immediately after its launch, the Celica had a minor facelift in August 1972 and was equipped with new tail lamps, a new fuel tank, and other improvements.

This assembly plastic model kit was originally developed in the mid-1970s, so some detailing and the level of replication are a little different from what one would expect of a modern kit. Still, the kit includes a height-adjustable chassis, optional parts such as third-party mesh wheels, a racing jacket, and more! These features give you the freedom to build your own Celica to your liking.
