It occasionally discharges electricity when it is dozy after waking up. Pikachu can help other Pikachu who are feeling weak by sharing its electric current. Pikachu's tail is sometimes struck by lightning as it raises it to check its surroundings. When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could build up and cause lightning storms. Forest dwellers are few in number and exceptionally rare. The pouches in their cheeks discharge electricity at their opponents. Pikachu is believed to be highly intelligent.
